Walking through the narrow by-lanes of Sattur, I spotted a huge crowd in front of a small shop. Intrigued, I found myself standing amongst the locals, waiting for my turn. The one common snack I saw everyone asking for was the "kaara sevu". Crispy, spicy, thick sev strands infused with garlic flavor! I returned with kilos of it, only to discover later that this legendary shop had been selling it for over a century! A true taste of legacy!
